Cellulite

Cellulite is a localised cluster of fatty tissue trapped in thicker than normal fibrous tissue. This gives the skin a bumpy appearance, and sometimes folds if the skin is stretched.

It is often sensitive to pressure. Pinching the skin, it may be possible to see subcutaneous fat lobules, giving an appearance sometimes called “orange peel”.
Women are most frequently affected on the buttocks, thighs and hips; men around the abdomen. It is not necessarily associated with obesity or excess weight, and weight-loss diets typically have little or no effect.
Cellulite is aggravated by circulatory disorders (venous and lymphatic insufficiency).

Mesotherapy is a technique consisting of micro-injections into the dermis of the skin. This technique is an excellent alternative in the treatment of orange peel skin and subcutaneous fat. The procedure entails one session every 2 to 3 weeks. Results are visible after 5 or 6 sessions.

Mesotherapy is a highly suitable treatment for patients presenting cellulite.
